Billy Moore

Billy Moore was born on January 28th, 1957, in London, Kentucky to Roy and Pauline Moore.
Billy began working lighting and audio in the club scene in the Lexington, KY area. Billy worked a show for the legendary Ray Charles in the mid 80s at Breedings in Lexington KY.
In 1979, Billy joined Exile and started touring the world as Exile’s front house engineer. Billy worked with Exile from 1979-1992. He married and left the road for a few years and was approached by Trace Adkins to go back out as his front house engineer. Billy worked with Trace from 1996-2000.
He also toured with artists such as Mark Chestnut and Craig Campbell. He was then hired by Kentucky’s own Montgomery Gentry from 2003-2013. While with Montgomery Gentry, Billy went on several USO ours during the Iraq /Afghan war. Billy traveled the world doing what he loved.
Billy last toured with Eric Church from 2014-2023 when he retired from the road after 48 years at the age of 66. Billy was nominated and awarded the CMA Front House Engineer of the Year in 2017. Billy is the first ever crew inductee in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. He is known and respected throughout the music community.
Billy has been married to his wife Rebecca for 34 years and they share two grown children, Lauren and Dalton.
Now retired, Billy enjoys his time at home with his family and friends and continues to help out local artists and friends from time to time with their sound and local music events.
