Honor a Loved One with one of our various donation options
Many of us look for ways to honor friends, celebrate the memory of a loved one and/or mark an important event in our life. If music was important to you or your loved one, a commemorative gift to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum is a thoughtful way to treasure the memory. The Hall of Fame will provide a personalized card in acknowledgment of a Memorial Gift and send it to the individual or family being remembered. Donations are Tax Deductible under 501c3 with Mt. Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission, dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Below are some various options:
Name Engraved on Brick Paver that is lined on the front of the main entrance of the Hall of Fame
Rose bush to be planted alongside the Induction Room with small plaque in honor of the person’s name of your choice
Name engraved on plaque on one of our rocking chairs in the Hall of Fame
Bench on the inside of the Hall of Fame with plaque in honor of the person’s name or business name
Our Indoor Stage utilized by performers will have a large plaque in honor of your loved one or business.
Our interactive room with instruments and artwork will be named after the name or business name with proper signage.
MARKETING SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum understands the business goals for many companies. While companies wish to support worth causes, they also need to increase their bottom line. The Hall of Fame will craft a sponsorship package specific to your business objectives. Through sponsorship of an exhibition or program at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum, your company will have a unique platform to reach a targeted audience.
NAMING OPPORTUNITIES
How would you like to have your company’s name emblazed on a space in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum? There are opportunities to have your gift recognized by naming a space in the Hall of Fame’s facility, endowing a position to help us attract and retain skilled staff members, or creating an endowment fund to support a particular program or collection.
PHILANTHROPY AND IN-KIND GIFTS
The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum offers a corporate sponsorship program with opportunities to support the Hall of Fame through restricted or unrestricted philanthropic grants and in-kind gifts. In-kind gifts accepted by the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum provide much needed materials and resources and is always appreciated by our team. Numerous needs are satisfied by in-kind donations, including office and other equipment needs, technology that enhances the visitor experience, volunteer staff for events, corporate giveaways, and more. Organizations can also designate the Hall of Fame as the beneficiary of their corporate event.

Matching gifts is when your employer matches an employee charitable donation. It is an incredibly powerful way to increase the impact of your donation to the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum at no additional cost to you. Please check with your company’s human resources department to see if your company participates in an employee matching gifts program.
Bequest a donation in your will or living trust
Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.

Below is suggested language to use when drafting your bequest.
Sample Language for an unrestricted gift that allows Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:
“I give to Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum, a nonprofit corporation currently located at PO Box 1467, Mt. Vernon, KY 40456, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”
To designate your provision for a particular purpose:
“I give to Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum, a nonprofit corporation currently located at PO Box 1467, Mt. Vernon, KY 40456, or its successor thereto, _________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property]. This gift should be used for (state purpose) if and so long as Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum determines that the need exists. If Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum shall determine at the outset or at a later time that the need does not exist, or no longer exists or for some reason it is not possible (or prudent) to administer my gift as originally intended, then Mount Vernon – Rockcastle County Tourist Commission dba Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum may, in its sole and uncontrolled discretion, direct the use of my bequest for a purpose related as closely as possible to that stated above.”

Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.
