Kentucky music historian, Jessica Blankenship, has been named as Executive Director of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The Laurel County native looks forward to sharing her expertise in music history and business to the new position. Jessica has worked in music journalism and historic preservation for over 20 years. She began as a student at Berea College, working in the Appalachian Center, as well as attending classes exploring different styles of music.
Blankenship is no stranger to the Hall of Fame, having volunteered over the years, as well as participated in most of the Induction Ceremonies over the years. Her appreciation of music history and the importance of preserving our heritage makes her love this new position.
The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum features historical artifacts from inductees, as well as highlighting Kentucky’s rich history and how it influences music around the world. It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
