Kentucky Music Hall of Fame honors 7 in its 2022 Induction Ceremony

The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame is proud to announce its 2022 Induction Ceremony was be held at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center New Barn in Renfro Valley, KY on Friday, October 28th, 2022. The 2022 inductee class contains a very deserving group of individuals from Kentucky who have left an eternal impact on the music industry in their respective fields. 

The 2022 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Inductee Class includes country music singer Carly Pearce, Grand Ole Opry background vocalist Norah Lee Allen, Steel Guitar Hall of Famer Tommy White, blues guitarist and singer Tee Dee Young, “I’m From the Country” hit songwriter Marty Brown, and posthumously bluegrass songwriting legend Pete Goble and Chet Atkins Certified Guitar Player Paul Yandell. 

The Karl Shannon Legacy Award was presented to radio legend Jack Pattie.  This year’s ceremony celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum, located in Renfro Valley, Kentucky.

On hand at the ceremony included Rockland Road and Sydney Adams performing the National Anthem and “My Old Kentucky Home.”  Parker Hastings, Steve Wariner, and Fred Gretsch paid tribute to the late Paul Yandell.  Mr. Yandell’s wife, Marie, and son, Micah were on hand to receive his honor.  Steve Wariner also paid tribute in inducting his friend, Tommy White.  Country music singer, Marty Brown, was then inductee.  Norah Lee Allen was surprised with special guest Connie Smith, who arrived to honor her dear friend.  Tee Dee Young brought the crowd to their feet as he showcased his soulful guitar playing after being introduced by Derreck Oldham.  Jim Crawford would reflect on growing up with his uncle, Pete Goble, who was inducted posthumously.  Finally, Ricky Skaggs provided commentary as the evening was concluded with the previous inductee properly inducting Carly Pearce into the 2022 class.

The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame & Museum features historical artifacts from inductees, as well as highlighting Kentucky’s rich history and how it influences music around the world.  It is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
