Sundy Best Honored with Special Exhibit

Eastern Kentucky natives, Sundy Best, were honored on Saturday, November 18th, with a special honorary temporary wall exhibit at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Prior to the unveiling, Nicholas Jamerson and Kristopher Bentley did a mini-concert for 70 fans, as well as did a meet and greet with those in attendance. Executive Director, Jessica Blankenship, expressed how Sundy Best has helped influence many throughout Kentucky when it comes to executing meaningful songwriting.

“Sundy Best has grown to be influential for several musicians, including fellow eastern Kentucky native Cole Chaney, who has shared the stage with them before,” according to Blankenship. “Today is a special day because we get to show the world the beginnings of the band with Nicholas’ first guitar when they went on tour years ago, as well as a jacket from their sold out performance at Manchester Music Hall, and other artifacts. Tonight the guys will live the dream that many in Kentucky want to get – perform on stage at Renfro Valley Entertainment Center. To many, THAT is our Grand Ole Opry.”

Fans can view the exhibit anytime as the museum is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The exhibit is part of a special honorary exhibit featuring those in Kentucky’s music scene not yet an Inductee, but we hope to see them one day as a Hall of Fame member. Others on display include Noah Thompson, Phoebe White, Darrell Scott, Ben Lacy, and Paul Martin.
